GCRMN East Asia regional workshop on regional data analysis of coral monitoring in the East Asia region

A three-day workshop will be held on the Regional Data Analysis of Coral Monitoring in East Asia Region, in Bachok Marine Research Station (BMRS), Institute of Ocean and Earth Science (IOES), University of Malaya (16310 Bachok, Kelantan, Malaysia) from 19th to 21st of June 2019.


The main purpose of the workshop is to review the preliminary results of regional analysis and discuss data sharing process for global analysis. The workshop will also include NOAA Outreach Training on Coral Reef Watch. National coordinators of all the 14 countries and states in the East Asia region will meet together at the workshop with experts from NOAA (Coral Watch Outreach Training) and CRIOBE (discussion on the global analysis) as special guests.

The workshop has been co-organized by the Ministry of the Environment Japan, Japan Wildlife Research Center (JWRC), Institute of Ocean and Earth Science (IOES), the University of Malaya and Malaysian Society of Marine Sciences (MSMS).
